Bringing the gym to TPS, Gymnastics Club sessions are filled with skill development, energy, and fun! The beginning of each session will start with warm-ups and stretching, followed by aerobics and movement games to enhance coordination, tumbling skills, and teach body awareness. Several different pieces of equipment are used, such as a balance beam, trampoline, cartwheel training mats, a barrel to practice backwards motion, and wedge mats for tumbling and handstands. Obstacle courses will be utilized to focus exclusively on skill work. Progressions throughout the semester allow students to grow their skills and accomplish success while learning the basics of gymnastics. National Kids Gym Gymnastics classes cater to children who are new to physical activity without a parent or guardian. This class teaches independence and basic gymnastic and tumbling skills in a safe and comfortable environment. The coaches love working with children and forming a bond by meeting them exactly where they are, while allowing them to progress at their own pace. Read More Here! (Please note: There are no sessions on Feb 3 & 17, March 24 & 31. Leotards are optional, not required. All students should wear loose fitting clothing to allow for a full range of movement.)
