Desert West Baseball League, Co-Ed Coach Pitch Program Overview (6 Games)
- This six-game Coach Pitch program introduces basic baseball skills, sportsmanship, team spirit, and fun while learning the fundamentals of baseball.
Practice & Game Schedule
- Practices: Mondays, one 50‑minute practice per team between 6:30–8:30 PM.
- Practice times set by volunteer coaches at the mandatory coach meeting.
- Games: Wednesdays at 6:30 PM or 7:30 PM (50‑minute games).
- Location: Desert West Sports Complex, 6602 W. Encanto Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85035. (Subject to change if fields become unplayable.)
Important Date Change
- No practice or game on Wednesday, March 31 (Farmworkers Day).
- Practices will NOT be rescheduled; games only will be made up.
Communication
- There will be no parent meeting. All league details will be emailed to families.
Team Formation Update
- To provide a fair and fun environment, coach-specific requests are no longer accepted.
- Friend requests are not guaranteed, but teams will be balanced.
Attendance Policy
- Missing more than two practices without notice triggers follow-up by staff.
- A third unexcused absence may result in removal from the league.
- Please notify coaching staff if your child will not be present for a practice or game.
Weather Policy
- If weather cancels field play, only games will be rescheduled.

- Tuesday, February 9, 2027
- 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Location: Multi-Purpose Room, Desert West Community Center, 6501 W. Virginia Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85035
- For current and interested volunteer coaches only.
