Phoenix Plays is excited to be partnering with the Phoenix Suns / Jr. Suns Youth Basketball Program to offer you the best youth basketball league possible. The league will run for eight weeks with one 45min-1hr practice a week and one game on Saturdays. All practices and games will take place at South Mountain Community Center. As part of the Phoenix Plays / Jr. Suns league, your child will receive an official Jr. Suns game jersey, a Jr. Suns swag item, a player handbook, one game voucher good for a Suns/Mercury home game at Phoenix Suns Footprint Center of his/her choosing, and possible additional promotional opportunities.
Coaching is a great way to give back to our leagues and your community. Coaches will receive a Jr. Suns clipboard, coaching handbook, coach shirt, and one game voucher good for a Suns/Mercury home game at Footprint Center of his/her choosing, and possible additional promotional opportunities. *Mandatory Coaches' Meeting will be week of March 17th, 2025 @ South Mountain Community Center.
South Mountain specific information: Practices will begin the week of March 17th, 2025.
Participants will be assigned to a team. Practices days and times are determined by volunteer coach's availability however you can let us know what days' work best in your schedule when you register. for team assignment and practice schedule. Practices will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays afternoon/evenings (times slots will be given out once teams are made). The South Mountain Community Center will try its best to accommodate requests, but due to the large number of registrants, all requests may not be granted.
