South Community Center Competitive Jr. Suns League TryoutsDo you have what it takes to compete at the next level? The South Mountain Community Center is hosting tryouts for the Competitive Jr. Suns League for boys and girls ages 11 to 13! These tryouts represent the Southern community centers in the City of Phoenix, and selected players will be placed on the South Mountain Community Center Team.
Tryout Details:Location: South Mountain Community CenterDates: Friday, February 27th / Saturday, February 28thTime: 4:00 PM - 6:00PM / 3:00 PM – 5:00 PMPlayers may try out onceTryout Fee: Free
League Information:Game Days: Saturdays 3/26/26 - 5/16/26Game Times: 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:00 PMGame Locations: Vary weekly – teams will travel to other participating community centersLeague Fee (if selected): $45
Team Placement:These tryouts are for South Mountain Community Center and other Southern Centers who would like to participate! Players selected will be placed on the South Mountain Community Center team.
Practice Schedule & Important Information:Each team may have up to 2 total hours of practice per week. Practice times will be Tuesdays 6 - 8 PM and Thursdays 6 - 7 PM. Players/parents should note any potential scheduling conflicts during registration.
Who Should Try Out?Athletes ages 11 to 13 looking for a competitive basketball experience. Those willing to travel for games and represent the Southern Phoenix community centers. Players who demonstrate good sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication.
