MARCHING BAND ENTRY
A Marching Band Entry is an ensemble of musicians that play and march in time to the music for entertainment at events and parades. A marching band typically includes brass, woodwinds, percussion instruments and drum majors and/or majorettes, and color guard. To qualify for this category, entries must contain at least three of the areas listed previously.
The APS Electric Light Parade entries are staged at North Phoenix Baptist Church located at 5757 N Central Avenue. The entries exit the church and head south on Central Avenue (the actual starting point is Montebello Ave). The entries continue south on Central Avenue until they reach Camelback Road where they turn east and continue up to 7th Street. At 7th Street, the entries turn south and continue until they reach the end of the parade route at Indian School Road. The entire route is about 2 miles long and takes about 45 minutes to complete.
Staff will be contacting you to ensure all the details of your registration are correct as well as to provide you an additional form to complete.
