Summer Storytime for Kids 2024(Onsite- Meet the author)Join us at S'edav Va'aki (formerly Pueblo Grande) Museum with author Barbara Renner, who will be presenting her book, Quincy the Quail and the Mysterious Egg.
Book Summary: After Quincy the Quail and his mate, Quella, have built their nest and are waiting for their chicks to hatch, a large egg plops down next to their home. Quincy decides to keep it warm to help it hatch. After their own eggs hatch, the baby in the large egg finally pokes its beak out of the shell. Their discovery provides the quail family an opportunity to become friends with their desert neighbors. (Illustrations by Amanda M. Wells)
Meet the author: Barbara Renner is a retired teacher who believes reading enhances an understanding of the world around us. As a classroom presenter, she reads her books and facilitates lessons to children of all ages.
WHEN: Saturday, June 8th 2024
TIME: 10am (lasts about an hour)
LOCATION: S'edav Va'aki Museum's- 4619 E. Washington St. Phoenix, AZ 85034. The story will be read in our Community Room.
ADMISSION: $5 per child includes a craft, snacks, and museum admission for the child on the day of the event. Parents are free for the storytelling event only.
