About This Activity
Description
Discover the joy and tradition of mariachi music in this engaging one-hour class designed for youth in grades k-12 who want to explore Mexican musical culture through performance. Students will be introduced to mariachi fundamentals, including basic instrumental technique, rhythm, ensemble playing, and traditional repertoire.Classes are active, hands-on, and supportive, helping students build confidence while learning to play together as a group. No prior playing experience is required.
Class will meet on Mondays except on the following days, February 23rd and March 30th. For those weeks, class will meet on Wednesdays, February 25th and April 1st.
It is required to purchase a book in addition to the class fee. Instructor will notify you on the first day of class regarding the book. This will be a one-time purchase.
