This soccer league focuses on the skills of being quick on your feet and thinking of solutions quickly. Participants will learn the importance of teamwork while learning how to score a goal, passing a ball, dribbling, and trapping. Participants should wear comfortable and active clothing such as shorts, t-shirts, closed toe shoes, and hair up and out of face. Any equipment participants have from former classes or leagues such as shin and body gear are encouraged to bring to practice.
All equipment will be provided. Practice and game location will be at Palma Park on the 60' North field. We encourage parent participation for volunteers to coach the teams for the soccer league. If anyone is interested in volunteering coach, please contact Recreation Programmer Julia at Julia.Ruiz@phoenix.gov.
Practices will be on Wednesdays starting January 7th, 2026, Sunnyslope staff will let you know your participants coach and practice time two weeks before the league starts. Games will be on Saturdays.
