Phoenix Plays SCC Youth Co-Rec Volleyball League. Join us for a fun and competitive Five-week volleyball league designed for young athletes ages 9-15 with intermediate skill level. Participants should display the ability to sustain rallies. This coed league will feature 4 teams, each with ten players, practicing every Thursday for five weeks. During practices, players will build fundamental skills, teamwork, and confidence. In week 6, teams will compete in an exciting end of season tournament, where 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place standings will be awarded. This league is a great opportunity for players to learn, grow, and enjoy the game in a supportive environment.
League Overview Length: 6 Weeks One Practice per week (55 minutes) Beginning June 4th - July 16th NO PRACTICE JULY 2ND 4 teams of 10 One Tournament Game Night - Thursday, July 16 (Bi-week July 2)Class Location: All practices and games will be held at the Sunnyslope Community Center 802 E Vogel Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85020

Coaching Opportunities: Want to make a difference? Coaching is a rewarding way to give back to your community. We are still seeking volunteer coaches to lead, support, and encourage teams throughout the season. Player/Team Request: League members may request either to play with one other participant or request a specific coach, please refrain from requesting both options. Also please note that this is not guaranteed.
PLEASE WEAR closed toe shoes, athletic apparel, knee pads and bring water.
Any request of specific practice times, a specific coach or players requesting to being on the same team must be requested in the "request prompt box" when registering. (REQUEST ARE NOT GUARANTEED)
Important: Participation in this City of Phoenix recreation program requires a valid Parks and Recreation Department Recreation Pass. This pass is required for each individual who participates in the league. There is a nominal $5 (resident) / $10 (non-resident) annual fee to obtain the pass; registration for the pass can be done at any City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation facility.
