About This Activity
Program: The Track & Field program is an exciting opportunity for children to explore various athletic disciplines and develop their skills in running, jumping, and throwing. Location: Held at Dick's House of Hoops within Ross Park Mall, providing a convenient and accessible venue for participants and families. Focus: The program introduces participants to a range of track and field events, including sprints, hurdles, long jump, high jump, shot put, and javelin, allowing them to discover and develop their strengths and interests. Curriculum: The curriculum is designed to be inclusive and progressive, catering to participants of all abilities and experience levels. Coaches lead structured sessions that incorporate skill-building drills, technique work, and practice competitions to help participants improve and excel in their chosen events. Coaches: Led by knowledgeable and supportive coaches who are passionate about track and field and committed to helping participants reach their full potential. They provide individualized instruction, encouragement, and feedback to help participants improve their technique and performance. Objectives: In addition to developing athletic skills, the program aims to foster qualities such as determination, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
