Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar Director: Meg Sullivan Level: III (7th-8th Graders) SYNOPSIS: Julius Caesar is a gripping political tragedy that tells the story of the ambitious Roman leader, Julius Caesar, whose growing power sparks fear among his peers. A group of senators, led by the noble Brutus and the cunning Cassius, plot to assassinate Caesar in the name of preserving the Republic. But their actions unleash chaos in Rome, leading to betrayal, civil war, and tragic consequences. The play explores themes of loyalty, honor, fate, and the high cost of power. Audition Workshop: July 31st 6:30 PM-8:30 PM Auditions: August 4th, 1:00 PM-4:00 PM REHEARSALS Start Date: August 7th, Thursdays 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM EXTRA REHEARSAL: Saturday, August 16th 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM SET BUILD: Saturday, September 13th 10:00 AM-1:00 PM. Each student & 1 parent are required to attend and stay the entire time. TECH WEEK: Sunday-Wednesday, September 14th-September 17th from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. No conflicts are permitted during tech week. PERFORMANCES: THURSDAY: September 18th @ 7 pm FRIDAY: September 19th @ 7 pm SATURDAY: September 20th @ 2 pm & 7pm SUNDAY: September 21st @ 3 pm ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Costumes are provided by Genesis. Supplemental items & shoes from your wardrobe. Students are required to be present at all rehearsals and shows. Please do not schedule any appointments or events for your student during this rehearsal period. Please send a snack, a personal water bottle, and pencil each day to rehearsal.
