SYNOPSIS: A 12 year old boy, Jim Hawkins, finds a treasure map that belonged to a pirate called Captain Flint. In a quest for the buried treasure mentioned in the map, he, along with his friends Squire Trelawney and Doctor Livesey, travels in a ship called "Hispaniola" to a faraway island. AUDITIONS: Material: Please MEMORIZE a one-minute monologue of your choice from the show and post it on the Classroom Audition Assignment along with your headshot and resume. Monologues are due January 1, 2024. Full Audition Packets will be posted on your Google Classroom. Students should be ready to perform sides at the callbacks. Dates: REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will be every Wed 5:00-8:30 PM . **Wed January 17 is cancelled. Added rehearsal Tuesday Jan 16 5-8:30.Wednesday Rehearsals start January 24 from 5-8:30. Students have OFF Wednesday, February 28th (Musical Level 4 tech rehearsal), OFF Wednesday, March 13th (PISD Spring Break), OFF Wednesday, April 3rd (Level 3 Musical Tech Rehearsal). Students are in the Black Box, on Wednesday, May 1st. Students are required to submit their conflicts ahead of time, and a maximum of 3 conflicts will be accepted. All tech week rehearsals and each performance is mandatory. SET BUILD: Sunday, May 5th from 5 PM to 8:30 PM. All students and one parent per actor are required to attend. TECH WEEK: Sunday, May 5th from 5 PM-8:30 PM and Monday, May 6th through Wednesday, May 8th from 5:00-8:30 PM. All students are required to attend each day. PERFORMANCES: THURSDAY: May 9th @ 7pm FRIDAY: May 10th @ 7pm SATURDAY: May 11th @ 2pm & 7pm SUNDAY: May 12th @ 3pm (Love Notes @ 12:30p) | Strike after the Sunday show ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Costumes are provided by Genesis. Supplemental items & shoes from your wardrobe. Students are required to have no more than 3 conflicts. If a student has excessive conflicts, they may not be able to participate in the production. Please help your student at home to memorize their lines.
