SYNOPSIS: Percy Jackson, a half-blood son of a Greek god, discovers his newfound powers and a destiny he doesn't want. When Zeus's stolen lightning bolt makes him the prime suspect, Percy must find it to prevent a war among the gods. Along the way, he faces monsters, travels to the Underworld, and uncovers a betrayal by a friend, all while grappling with his absent father. Based on Rick Riordan’s The Lightning Thief, this action-packed musical follows Percy’s journey to prove his innocence and save the gods. AUDITIONS: Monday, January 27th from 5:30pm-9:30pm Material: Full Audition Packets will be posted on your Google Classroom. Students will sing a selection from the show and should be ready to perform sides at the audition. Submit your audition form, headshot, and resume on your Google Classroom. Please also bring a copy of your resume in person to the audition. REHEARSALS: Every Friday, 5:30 pm-9:30 pm, January 31-February 21. Required Additional Rehearsal: February 8th, 10am-3pm; Choreo Intensive: February 15-17, (Sat/Mon-PISD holiday) 10am-3pm; (Sun) 1pm-6pm. SET BUILD Saturday, February 22nd from 10 am-1 pm. This may also be used for additional rehearsal time. All students and one parent per actor are required to attend. Students are required to be present at all rehearsals and shows. Please do not schedule any appointments or events for your student during this rehearsal period. Please send a snack, a personal water bottle, and a pencil each day to rehearsal. Please help your student at home to memorize their lines. Tickets will be available for purchase online.
