Level 3 Spring Musical: Bye Bye Birdie Youth Edition Director: Shea McMillan and Michael McMillan Level: III (7th-8th Graders) SYNOPSIS: Set in the 1950s, Bye Bye Birdie – Youth Edition is a fun, fast-paced musical about teen excitement, fame, and first love! When rock ‘n’ roll superstar Conrad Birdie is drafted into the army, one lucky fan gets a televised farewell kiss, sending a small town into hilarious chaos. Full of catchy songs and unforgettable characters, this show is pure 50s fun! AUDITIONS: Material: Full Audition Packets will be posted on your Google Classroom. April 9 OR 16 (During class time) LOAD IN: Sunday, April 19 5PM-7PM TECH WEEK: April 27th-30th (Monday–Thursday) | 5:00–8:00 PM *No conflicts are permitted during tech week. Supplemental items & shoes from your wardrobe. Students are required to be present at all rehearsals and shows. Please do not schedule any appointments or events for your student during this rehearsal period. Please send a snack, a personal water bottle, and pencil each day to rehearsal. Please help your student at home to memorize their lines. Tickets will be available for purchase online, so buy early!
