Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors Director: Meg Sullivan Level: III (7th-8th Graders) SYNOPSIS: Separated at birth, Antipholus and his servant Dromio arrive in the city of Ephesus unaware that their long-lost identical twin brothers live there too. What follows is a wild, fast-paced chain reaction of mistaken identities. What ensues are hilarious mishaps, accidental arrests, and total chaos in Shakespeare's ultimate comedy of errors. Audition Workshop: Friday, November 6 • 5:30 PM–7:30 PM (At Genesis Studios) Auditions: Saturday, November 7 • 11:00 AM–3:00 PM (At Genesis Studios) REHEARSALS: Start Date: Tuesday, November 10 Weekly Rehearsals: Tuesdays AND Thursdays • 5:30 PM–8:30 PM SET BUILD/PARENT VOLUNTEER DAYS: Tuesday, November 17th & Thursday, November 19th Parent volunteer days to replace set build during the final 2 rehearsals before tech week. TECH WEEK: October 19th–22nd, 5:00 PM-8:00 PM No conflicts are permitted during tech week. PERFORMANCES: THURSDAY: December 10th @ 7 pm FRIDAY: December 11th @ 7 pm SATURDAY: December 12th @ 2 pm & 7pm SUNDAY: December 13th @ 3 pm ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Costumes are provided by Genesis. Supplemental items & shoes from your wardrobe. Students are required to be present at all rehearsals and shows. Please do not schedule any appointments or events for your student during this rehearsal period. Please send a snack, a personal water bottle, and pencil each day to rehearsal.
