About This Activity
Calling all youth creatives ready to propel their Procreate skills to the next level! This advanced workshop is for artists who want to dive deeper into the art of animation and digital storytelling. Participants with previous Procreate experience or those who took the 12/27/2024 workshop will have the skills to participate in this session. Under the guidance of Teaching Artist Fry, participants will master the techniques needed to turn ideas into animated stories. They’ll gain hands-on experience with animation techniques such as frame-by-frame animation, squash and stretch, overshoot, and anticipation. Using design thinking, they’ll work through ideation, prototyping, and refining processes to produce a short animated scene. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have the confidence to present and discuss their work like pros.
