About This Activity
Is your young son fascinated with military history? Then we have the camp for you! Welcome to Little Wars, where boys play with historically accurate, toy soldiers and engage in reenacted battles. Campers will be placed in a squad with boys their own age to train like 18th Century soldiers. These activities foster imaginative play and historical knowledge among the campers. Boys enjoy a blend of small group play and large-scale battles—complete with fortifications, landscapes, and artillery. Battles are reenacted indoors and out. Little Wars awaits! Each camper receives a toy musket on the first day of camp. They also take home some toy soldiers on the last day. The morning session will focus on the Revolutionary War (1775-1783). We briefly discuss tactics such sieges and ambushes and then create our battle set ups with toy soldiers and toy guns.
