At this goalkeeper specific camp, keepers of all ability levels will receive fifteen hours of personalized instruction. Training will include keeper specific warm-ups, footwork, and agility drills; technical instruction on shot-stopping, diving, and distribution; tactical instruction on positioning and communication; core, upper-, and lower-body strength training; and goalkeeper specific fitness. Each keeper will leave camp with improved technique and greater tactical understanding, as well as a collection of simple and effective drills he can practice on his own or with a family member in order to remain in top form throughout the summer and fall season. Staff: Coach Kyle Blackmer has been The Heights goalkeeper coach for five years. He is Assistant Varsity Coach and Head Coach of the 8th grade team. For over a decade Kyle has been training goalkeepers from age 6 to 21. A Division-1 keeper himself, Kyle has personally trained with and learned from keeper coaches from several colleges and universities, as well as from English clubs Manchester United, Watford FC, and Coventry City FC. *This camp will be on-campus and will be following distancing guidelines. Space is limited to 10 goalkeepers. *Equipment Needed: Each day keepers should bring cleats, goalie gloves, a ball, and water bottles.
