About This Activity
In First Lego League Explore, teams of students ages 6-10 (or 2-4 grade) focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, and code and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO® Education SPIKE Essential. Team members will meet with their two coaches weekly from Saturday, August 23 to December 13 (with two breaks - one over fall break and one over Thanksgiving break). In January, our team will meet one more time to be determined (also a Saturday from 10:30-noon) and then attend First Lego League Explore festival to present their work at ASU (on a Saturday - dates are not yet released). First Lego League gives elementary school students the opportunity to work and create together to solve a common problem. The really cool thing about FIRST LEGO League is...all skill levels are welcomed and needed, technical or non-technical. Adult coaches guide students as they gain skills and confidence in a supportive, inclusive environment.
