About This Activity
A workshop tailored to rising 6th & 7th graders who want to gain skills and confidence in their writing. The course will focus on written work due in connection with their summer reading assignments (see MS Summer Reading Requirements) and creative writing such as short stories, poetry, or journalism. The hope is to publish the student writing to share with family and friends. Workshop participants are encouraged to read their required summer reading book or take Mrs. Gasser’s workshop, Get Started on Summer Reading, the week before this class. This way, all the reading is done and you can focus on writing like you mean it. Instructors: Jenny Cobb, Prairie English Teacher
