About This Activity
In Needlepoint, students explore the art of canvas stitching. Skills used in Needlepoint, such as perseverance, patience, and attention-to-detail, also translate to important life skills. Students will learn to create beautiful works of art by learning a classic basketweave stitch. Campers will have the opportunity to create and walk away with the confidence to needlepoint at home! When proficient, Needlepoint is a very calming, relaxing, and fun activity! The sense of accomplishment when a piece is finished is unparalleled. Location: P-2 Instructor: Elizabeth Long, Prairie
