Yoga on the Prairie is an opportunity for your child to learn yoga, meditation and mindfulness in an age appropriate way. We will practice poses through games, music, and dance which will help improve posture, strength, focus, and coordination. Yoga poses and movement will even provide benefits to their digestive and cardiovascular systems. Breathing practices are done playfully to enhance calmness and clarity of the mind. And in each class the children will visit their ‘Secret Garden’ (resting pose) to experience a child friendly version of deep relaxation. But at the heart of this class, the principles of yoga will teach children kindness, compassion, mindfulness, and awareness. *Campers must be securely potty trained.
