A more serious, in-depth art class for older students who want to learn and practice different drawing and painting techniques as well as learn how to build their portfolios. Students will also discover new methods of creating through experimentation and practice. Instructor: Sierra Wilkinson Sierra has been an artist her whole life! She went to UNCG and got a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in painting (and a minor in Classical Studies, just for fun). While in college she illustrated a children's book for a local author; Ramona Red Dog, The Luckiest Dog Around! This was a wonderful opportunity, and she hopes to soon illustrate more books for kids! Although her concentration was painting in college, she has always loved all different ways of making art; including drawing, sewing, sculpting, jewelry making, crafting, etc. She believes creativity is an important skill that everyone inherently has that just needs to be nurtured and encouraged!
