About This Activity
The purpose of this class is to offer sewing instruction to homeschool students, to educate students and their families on the environmental benefits of using reusable tote bags instead of single use plastic bags, to garner interest in the TZW Reusable Tote Bag project, and to generate additional completed tote bags for distribution and use by the community. Instructors will teach students basic sewing skills while using the TZW Tote Bag instructions and pre-cut bag kits.. Instructor: Daisy Buitrago I have always loved to sew, even taught myself to hand sew doll clothes as a child. Now I have 2 sewing machines and a serger, making custom clothing and purses for clients! The arrival of covid convinced me to dive full time into my talent and I expanded into teaching students to sew as well. It is quite rewarding to see someone else smile as they create something they had no clue they could accomplish with my help.
