About This Activity
"Fantasy football offers an engaging and practical way to apply statistical concepts to students! This class will introduce data analysis, probability, and predictive modeling in a context that is both fun and relatable. Students will not only learn the basics of fantasy football, but they will learn the statistical measures that are important to the game. Data collection and management, statistical analysis, probability and risk management, and predictive modeling are only some of the topics covered as part of this fantasy football league. This class will take your sports enthusiast to the next tier in their future fantasy leagues! " Instructor: Ernst Joseph "My name is Ernst Joseph I go by EJ. I am a football coach, track coach, and special educator. I'm currently an assistant track coach at Holly Springs High, an adaptive fitness instructor for special needs children, and a sports trainer for athletes. I am a former athlete with a BA in Sociology and a Master's in Teaching (Special Education). I developed a fitness program for athletes and children with special needs. I modify exercises to fit the needs of the group. I'm currently working in the private sector. In the summer of 2022, I interned with the strength and conditioning staff at NCCU. With the knowledge gained through my previous experiences, I plan on helping children gain a healthy lifestyle and mindset through fitness. "
