Welcome to Film Analysis for Teens! Discover the art of storytelling through the lens of cinema. In this class, students will explore the rich elements of plot, character development, and literary devices—all within the dynamic world of film. Over the course, we will delve into how to appreciate, analyze, and interpret stories, characters, story structures, and narrative techniques. Our movie selections, all within the PG-13 rating, offer diverse and thought-provoking narratives. Additionally, students seeking English credit in high school can engage in writing assignments tailored to their interests. Expect entirely new movie selections each semester to ensure a fresh and exciting experience for all cinephiles! Originally from Pakistan, I spent my childhood soaking up the California sun, had a soulful stint in Oregon, and called Abu Dhabi home for a solid decade.
