About This Activity
Description
Join us at Historic Oak View County Park on Saturday, September 20 at 10:30 a.m. for the interactive program, Goat in My Boat! Arlo the Goat goes on an adventure in a boat, but what happens when he gets too excited and too overwhelmed and can't stop rocking the boat? This delightful story and accompanying activities teach children what we can do with big feelings, with activities that engage the body, mind, and breath. Free and open to all ages, recommended for ages 3–6. Registration is required for all participating children and kids must have a supervising adult. The program will take place primarily indoors, in a climate controlled historic building, and includes standing and walking between buildings on paved brick paths. The program concludes outdoors with a visit to Oak View's goats. Participants are encouraged to bring baby carrots or apple slices to feed their new goat friends!
Upon arrival, participants should check in with park staff in the Farm History Center (the visitors center building). Please let us know in advance if you or anyone in your group requires accessibility modifications/ADA accommodations. As a courtesy to other participants, the waitlist and the instructor, if you find you have a change in plans and can no longer attend, please email oakview@wake.gov or call 919-250-1013.
