About This Activity
A class for middle grade students to make lots of different types of art, like cardboard crafts, paintings/drawings, sculpting, sewing, and more! Instructor: Sierra Wilkinson Sierra has been an artist her whole life! She went to UNCG and got a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in painting (and a minor in Classical Studies, just for fun). While in college she illustrated a children's book for a local author; Ramona Red Dog, The Luckiest Dog Around! This was a wonderful opportunity, and she hopes to soon illustrate more books for kids! Although her concentration was painting in college, she has always loved all different ways of making art; including drawing, sewing, sculpting, jewelry making, crafting, etc. She believes creativity is an important skill that everyone inherently has that just needs to be nurtured and encouraged!
