About This Activity
Fascinating history, visual art, poetry, journal entries, deep emotions on both sides. Some feel deep connection, honor, loyalty to their homeland, while others feel the deep-seated need to be allowed to make choices for and with inhabitants of this continent. And yet, indigenous and enslaved inhabitants have a different perspective as well. We'll take a thorough look into all of this, and have book colloquiums, class discussions, class presentations, and opportunities to have hands on revolutionary wartime experiences all the while (such as making and writing with a quill pen, polishing silver, etc.). Come step into a different time with us! Instructor: Trina Rose Wilson Trina embodies that definition of a lifelong learner. She dabbles in everything and loves learning it all. Technically, she has her doctorate in Sociology (because she wanted something that would never bore her, and it hasn't), with an emphasis in Criminology, Research Methods, and Women's Studies, but for now she's trying her hat at running her own business. She started her education studying theater, and still enjoys performing. She loves history because of its many lessons and its many forgotten contributors. She loves communications because everything hinges on it, past and future. She writes lyrics for fun. She loves crafting and creating. More than anything, she loves hearing your real life stories!!! We have so much to learn from each other's experiences. She has a passion for getting others to love learning too. We are so privileged to have the opportunity to learn in so many different ways!!
