About This Activity
Story Art Club is back with brand-new books and creative projects every session. Previous participants are welcome to return since no two sessions are ever the same. If your child lights up during picture books and loves to create, this club is the perfect fit. Kindergarten and first-grade students will explore a new story each week and bring it to life through engaging, hands-on art projects that build fine motor skills, spark creativity, and celebrate each child’s unique artistic voice. This spring-themed session will feature stories about animals, growth, and new beginnings. Mrs. Coltrain will lead meaningful, age-appropriate discussions about characters, setting, and problem and solution to strengthen comprehension in a joyful way. Students will compile a beautiful art portfolio throughout the 7-week session, which will be sent home along with extra materials so the creativity can continue beyond the club.
