About This Activity
After winning the Revolutionary War, the first leaders of the United States of America embarked upon a great experiment to create the first ever country governed by the people. In the lab, we will discover how they did this successfully against all odds. This will be an interactive class, in which you will learn by engaging in activities and discussions in class and reading and writing outside of class. This class is for students signed up for The Liberty Experiment class. During this class we will engage in hands-on history, as I like to call it. We will have mock congress meetings and engage in activities not possible in just one hour of class time. Instructor: Trina Wilson Trina embodies that definition of a lifelong learner. She dabbles in everything and loves learning it all. Technically, she has her doctorate in Sociology (because she wanted something that would never bore her, and it hasn't), with an emphasis in Criminology, Research Methods, and Women's Studies, but for now she's trying her hat at running her own business. She started her education studying theater, and still enjoys performing. She loves history because of its many lessons and its many forgotten contributors. She loves communication because everything hinges on it, past and future. She writes lyrics for fun. She loves crafting and creating. More than anything, she loves hearing your real life stories!!! We have so much to learn from each other's experiences. She has a passion for getting others to love learning too. We are so privileged to have the opportunity to learn in so many different ways!!
