About This Activity
D&D is a classic of the role-playing genre, but it's hardly the only RPG out there. This class will introduce students to a wide variety of games and their mechanics, some deeply conventional and some deeply esoteric. Along the way, we'll learn about the history of RPGs, from their pre-D&D roots through the design revolutions of the 90s and 2010s, sampling games like Fate, Fiasco, The Quiet Year, Monster of the Week, and more.
