"Guitar Class is perfect for beginner-intermediate level students who want to learn to play songs quickly. Students work at their own pace and learn the music during the lessons, making home practice easier. We focus on teaching sight reading tab and rhythm, enabling students to play their favorite songs from contemporary, rock, and pop genres!" Instructor: Riley Anderson "Hi, my name is Riley Anderson. For the past 15 years, I’ve enjoyed a diverse musical career both as a guitar and euphoniumist. I started playing euphonium at the age of 12 in my middle school band, and I picked up the guitar the following year. Between both instruments, I’ve done over 100 performances in a variety of settings from, rock bands, solo gigs/recitals, jazz groups, wind ensembles, British-style brass bands, chamber groups, to name a few. I received my master of music degree in euphonium and electric guitar from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK in 2021 and a Bachelor of Music in euphonium and guitar from Central Michigan University in 2019. In addition to music, when I’m not doing music I am dancing socially or competitively. I hold certification in Ballroom, and compete in West Coast Swing in Jack and Jills, Strictly’s and ProAm Jack and Jill’s which I’ve made quarter/semi finals and finals at various swing events. My main passion is helping beginner guitarists all ages to learn to play guitar as fast as possible using a method that’s motivating, systematic, educational, and fun.
