Students will learn acting techniques and how to utilize their actor’s toolbox to put on a show. They will go through an audition process, callbacks, rehearsals that include character development, script work, and blocking, as well as performances. Instructor: Emily Freer Emily Freer (she/her) is a teaching artist who has a passion for creating classroom environments that are safe, fun, and fruitful for all. She can be found in the classroom at organizations such as Cary Arts Center, Theatre Academy Productions, and Raleigh Little Theatre. When she's not in the classroom, she can be found somewhere else in a theatre. She loves to learn more about the world of theatre by engaging in as many aspects as she can through roles like director, actor, stage manager, marketing intern, and box office employee! When she's not in a theatre, she's at home sending emails on behalf of Seed Art Share where she serves as their Education Director. She holds her BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Communications from William Peace University.
