About This Activity
Instructor: Hannah Castellano Spend five days exploring rhythms and songs from around the world, all while playing world drums and other percussion instruments. Students will demonstrate techniques for playing various types of drums and other percussion equipment, sing songs with percussion and other instruments from various multicultural traditions and improvise new drumming ensemble patterns which are complementary to those played by other students. The week will culminate in an “informance” where the students will share what they learned.
