About This Activity
Ignite your child’s curiosity with an exciting introduction to computer science! In this hands-on camp, students learn foundational programming skills such as sequencing, loops, debugging, events, and creative coding while designing simple games, animations, and interactive stories. Students will work with block-based coding, an age-friendly visual programming style used in Code.org and Scratch. They’ll also be able to view the text-based version of their code, giving them early exposure to real programming languages and helping them understand how their blocks translate into true code concepts. Each day blends playful challenges with real coding tools, helping students build confidence, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills—all in a fun, supportive environment.
