This is a year-long class. The teacher is accepting students mid-year at a pro-rated rate. Introduction to World Religions is a year long course with lessons that discuss the origins, beliefs, and practices related to various world religions. This course covers subject areas such as: primal religious traditions, sacred stories, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, contemporary religious movements, and many more. This is a course taught from a secular standpoint which means no religions listed will take precedence and all will be approached equally. All of Ms. Beach’s classes will provide all needed skills to earn transcript credit with grading of all homework, testing and projects. At the end of the program you will have a printable syllabus and description of all that was learned in that year. This is a graded class unless instructed otherwise. There will be homework to be completed weekly. All of Ms. Beach’s classes follow the engineering model for science. This means every unit student will be assigned a project and over the course of the unit they will gain the skills and knowledge to complete each project. Instructor: Rachel Beach Rachel has been a homeschool mom for 20 years now. Her passion is teaching the natural sciences to kids. She has 9 kids, 7 still at home, one college Junior and one graduate who teaches elementary school in Guilford County. All of her classes are very interactive, engaging, and hands-on. She follows the steam project approach with so many bigger long term assignments that are set up to engage in many areas of their academic success. She really just loves watching kids get hands-on and learning through experience rather than memorization.
