"D&D can be really fun and rewarding role playing game (RPG) for anyone interested. However it takes a considerable amount of knowledge and skill to play it effectively and to the get most fun out of it. Those who show up to play without this knowledge can quickly become confused and overwhelmed. As a dungeon master for THE’s D&D club, I’ve noticed the vast majority of the players showing up have only rudimentary understanding of how the game works, and some are new all together, having never played. This causes frustration for the whole table, and really bogs down the gaming experience. My class offers a solution to this problem! A little investment of time now will go a long way for the players, and give them the knowledge and skills they will need to have a great gaming experience. Furthermore, as an added benefit, a graduate of this class will be given a priority spot on the waiting list for the D&D club, which we seem to have every semester. Students taking this class will need to own (or have online access to) a 5th edition D&D player’s handbook, and a set of polyhedral dice, and here are some the things we will cover. The 3 pillars of D&D, all of the different types of dice, Character creation and optimization, character personalities and roleplaying, basic Instructor: Greg Corona My name is Greg Corona. While I am a flight instructor by trade, I have great interest in all things science and history. I love to ask big questions about how things work and fit together, and inspire curiosity in the students.
