Galaxies and the Universe is a mixed-media class that aims to provide an introduction to astronomical concepts at a late elementary to early middle comprehension level. We will be focusing on the greater stellar bodies, such as black holes, nebulae, and quasars while bringing the concepts back to earth in the form of in-class research and other hands-on activities. Students need to be able to read at a 3rd grade level. Instructor: AJ Eldred AJ Eldred has been teaching with THE for 5 years. As someone who was homeschooled all through high school, she has a unique perspective to bring to the classroom. She is an eclectic individual with interests ranging from psychology and social sciences to physics, art, math, and everything in between. Her qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in both Political Science and Physics and minors in history and math.
