About This Activity
In this STEAM class, we will take on the world of board games by figuring out what makes them challenging, fun, and addictive! We will use gaming as a perfect backdrop for learning new skills such as logic, collaboration and persistence! We will take a quick journey to discover the history of games and learn some of the first games created. We will then explore the processes of both playing and creating various games while developing critical and creative thinking skills that apply to tasks and concepts across academic fields. Instructor - Seema Kahn Seema Khan is a homeschooler with over 15 years of experience. She co- founded a homeschooling group during the 10 years she lived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates with her husband and 3 boys (19, 15 and 10 years old). She taught various classes through co-ops focused on giving kids a bespoke learning experience.
