In the NC History and Geography class, students explore the diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage of North Carolina, emphasizing its three distinct geographic regions: the coastal plains, the piedmont, and the mountains. Through a comprehensive study of each zone, students delve into the unique ecosystems, historical developments, and cultural traditions that shape these areas. From the sandy shores and iconic lighthouses along the coast to the rolling hills and vibrant cities of the piedmont, and finally, to the majestic peaks and scenic vistas of the Appalachian Mountains, students gain a deep understanding of North Carolina's geographical diversity.
