About This Activity
Pokémon Trainer Academy is a space where students can learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), participate in friendly in-club tournaments, and trade cards with fellow friends. Club members will also get the chance to watch real-life TCG matches and learn from the pros. Playing Pokémon helps build critical thinking, literacy, math, and social skills in a fun and engaging way. It helps students develop skills such as good sportsmanship, turn-taking, and patience. It encourages clear communication as they practice negotiation and learn how to compromise. The game also fosters conflict resolution skills when disagreements arise, and builds teamwork as players support each other and share strategies. To get the most out of the experience, members must bring their own Pokémon cards!
