About This Activity
Who’s ready to get crafty with STEM? Ready to learn and experience some interesting stories along the way? Then come on down and join us for STEM Stories! In this semester-long class, students will learn about Bugs and Critters. This class will include hands-on craft activities, nature walks, as well as engaging and physical storytelling activities! Instructor: Melissa Platero Melissa Platero is a homeschooling mom of 3 since 2005. She's a graduate from the UNC Greensboro School of Education and has a BS in Middle Grades Education with second majors in English Literature and History. Her first love is theatre arts and was a theatre scholarship award winner from Kilgore College. She's also a graduate from Wake Technical Community college with an Associate of Science Degree. She loves teaching science and has experience teaching at the Greensboro Science Museum and working for a grant at UNCG funded through the National Science Foundation.
