About This Activity
Writing is an essential skill for both college and work. Learn how to craft persuasive arguments, explain complex processes, and present research and ideas. Writing will focus on both academic and career related tasks. Instructor: Kathryn Allen My name is Kathryn Allen, and I have been teaching for more than 30 years. I have taught a variety of subjects including math, science, social studies, career prep and my favorite subject to teach, writing. Each student I teach learns in their own way. I enjoy helping students learn how they learn best. As a writing teacher, I want my students to find their own voices and to be able to express their ideas in a variety of writing styles. My goal is to give my students strong writing skills they can use throughout their lives.
