About This Activity
Description
Developed by the Center's staff and our senior volunteer garden club, this highly popular program allows for senior members of the community to come together for a nutritious meal as well as social interaction. Members of the Green Thumb program cultivate a year-round garden and organize monthly garden club meetings. Using ingredients from the garden, the program provides a weekly lunch consisting of fresh salads, sandwiches, soups, and homemade baked item.
