About This Activity
Students will learn the game of chess through stories, dances, and catchy songs that make each lesson fun and easy to understand. They’ll strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, and concentration skills while gaining confidence and having fun! Each student receives an Academic Chess workbook, has the chance to earn sportsmanship prizes, and takes part in the “BIG TOURNAMENT” on the final day, where every student receives a prize. New and experienced players are welcome, and students will be grouped by age and experience. Depending on class size, the class may be led by two Academic Chess instructors.
