In this hands-on class, students will explore financial literacy through engaging activities and concepts adapted from curriculum Ms. Buchholz has taught with GATE students. Students will learn about earning, saving, budgeting, smart spending, and investing, then put their knowledge to work through games, real-world scenarios, and a pretend-money stock market simulation. Along the way, students will set a savings goal, build a budget, and track their own “stock” while developing practical money skills and learning how financial decisions work in the real world. There will be no class on Wednesday, November 11. This class will meet for 9 sessions.
