About This Activity
In this small-group class, students will be introduced to the Farsi (Persian) language and culture through interactive, hands-on learning. Using a Farsi-English booklet written and prepared by the instructor, students will learn to recognize and write letters of the Persian alphabet, practice vowel sounds, and become familiar with reading and writing from right to left. Through games, flashcards, and guided speaking activities, students will build basic conversational skills and learn vocabulary such as numbers, colors, fruits, and animals. They will also explore Persian culture by learning about Nowruz (the Persian New Year), creating crafts, and discovering traditional Persian foods and celebrations.
