Description
The SWAC Art Camp for Kids is open to children, ages 9-12(elementary students), who are developing as visual artists. Avariety of art materials are included for visual artists to explore andinclude in their art projects.Each day of camp, we will provide an artist lesson of the day(Week Two focuses on "Painting Techniques”). The rest of thetime is spent in the art studio working on their individual projects.Facilitators assist kids in developing an Artist’s Plan. This involvesbrainstorming interests and ideas in order to decide what project(s)they will work on that day. We revisit plans regularly in order toreflect and make changes as needed. During Open Studio time,children receive individualized micro-lessons and tips, get supportturning “mistakes” into opportunities, and/or receive guidance onhow to work through moments of self-doubt.Please direct any questions you may have to (909)644-5686 orstudioworksartcollective@gmail.com.(Note: 12 year old kids who are in elementary school tend to be agood fit in the Kids’ art camp.
