Discover the colorful world of fiber arts in this week-long, half-day camp for rising 3rd–5th graders! Campers will learn the basics of knitting—casting on, knitting and purling, and simple patterns—while exploring complementary textile crafts such as weaving, pom-pom making, needle felting, and even trying their hand at spinning yarn. Whether students are brand new to yarn work or already crafting on their own, each day offers supportive, hands-on instruction and plenty of room for creativity, choice, and joyful experimentation. By the end of the week, campers will have completed several handmade projects, developed fine-motor skills and perseverance, and gained an appreciation for the global traditions of fiber arts. No prior experience is required—just curiosity, imagination, and a love of making things with their hands!
